| Finding the right size comforter for your bed seems to be an easy exercise. There are, after all, only four common sizes of beds with each size given a simple name of twin, full, queen, or king. However, there are no strict set of standard measurements that define each of these sizes. As a result, definitions of comforter cover sizes vary by manufacturer and sometimes even by ensemble of the same manufacturer. | Before diving into the shopping experience, take a break and envision how you would like your comforter to fit on your bed. With regard to the width of the comforter cover, consider the height of your mattress and far you would like the cover to extend off the sides of your bed. Similarly, the length of your comforter should account for whether or not your bed has a footboard and whether you would like the comforter to fold over at the head of the bed.
